Balance counseling will work with adults and youth by providing responsible outpatient individual therapy you can count on during your recovery. Learning strategies and coping skills for a happy sober and clean lifestyle.
Infant Mental Health Therapy
Services provide parent-infant support and intervention services to families where the parent's condition and life circumstances or the characteristics of the infant threaten the parent-infant attachment and the consequent social, emotional, behavioral and cognitive development of the infant. Services reduce the incidence and prevalence of abuse, neglect, developmental delay, behavioral and emotional disorder.

These include social security letters, mental health dog letters, and appearances in court.

Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor
Three years or 2,000 hours of supervised experience in AD counseling,
180 hours of education in ICRC/AODA related courses that are composed of the 12 Core Functions: Screening; Intake; Orientation; Assessment; Treatment Planning; Counseling; Case Management; Crisis Intervention; Client Education; Referral; Reports and Record Keeping; Consultation,
minimum of 300 hours of supervision which must include ten hours in each of the 12 Core Functions outlined above.
6 hours of counseling ethics
Pass the ICRC/AADC (Advanced) Counselor written examination.
Infant Mental Health Specialist
Persons selected to work with infants and families at risk must be a masters-prepared, mental health therapist who has training in infant mental health interventions. The infant mental health therapist has experiences that prepare them for this type of service. Previous experience with families having multiple challenges or with young children or adolescents is helpful background.
The infant mental health specialist needs knowledge in all aspects of infant development, infant care and family functioning as well as clinical processes and intervention skills.
Fully licensed Social Worker
Graduate with a master's degree from an educational program that is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Complete at least 4,000 hours of post-degree supervised social work experience over at least a two-year period.
Child Mental Health Professional
Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) - Individual with specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families and who is a physician, psychologist, licensed or limited-licensed master's social worker
Balance Counseling LLC accepts most state funded and commercial insurances. I also accept cash, check and credit card payments to make it easier for you
If you do not have an accepted insurance plan, Balance Counseling would be happy to work with you to submit your insurance claim for out of network reimbursement. Clients are responsible for co-pays and deductibles as applicable.
